Whiplash Injury

Whiplash injury occurs when your neck forcibly bends forward and then backward, or vice versa. The neck injury typically involves the muscles, discs, nerves, and tendons in your neck. Whiplash injuries commonly occur as a result of a collision that includes sudden acceleration or deceleration. This type of collision can occur when you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, or perhaps during a contact sports injury.
